Colours are Jose’s great passion. They, more than anything else, reveal her joie de vivre and her gusto for life’s beauty.
Her camera necessarily records lines and forms as well but they are, in a way, only containers of that kaleidoscope which is reality.
Her camera catches reality but at the same time, by revealing its beauty, interprets it.
Contrasting colors are never a manifestation of inner strife and anxiety but enrich, complement and complete each other to reveal the harmonious complexity of that reality.
Each picture reveals an aspect of this multi-colored complexity and conveys the emotion of the artist in capturing it and making it her own and thus our own.
